About the Role

This position involves leading electrical design efforts for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and integration across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of electrical designs for transportation and civil infrastructure systems
  • Perform calculations and prepare technical documentation for power distribution networks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into broader project plans
  • Conduct site assessments and support field investigations
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Prepare construction specifications and procurement documentation
  • Support project management activities including scheduling and budgeting
  • Review contractor submittals and provide technical feedback
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies during project development
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams
  • Evaluate existing systems for upgrades and modernization opportunities
  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges
  • Utilize software tools for modeling and simulating electrical systems
  • Ensure safety standards are integrated into all design phases
  • Participate in quality assurance and design review processes
  • Support sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions
  • Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing project priorities
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering technologies and practices
