About the Role
This position involves leading electrical design efforts for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and integration across engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of electrical designs for transportation and civil infrastructure systems
- Perform calculations and prepare technical documentation for power distribution networks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into broader project plans
- Conduct site assessments and support field investigations
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Prepare construction specifications and procurement documentation
- Support project management activities including scheduling and budgeting
- Review contractor submittals and provide technical feedback
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies during project development
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams
- Evaluate existing systems for upgrades and modernization opportunities
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges
- Utilize software tools for modeling and simulating electrical systems
- Ensure safety standards are integrated into all design phases
- Participate in quality assurance and design review processes
- Support sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions
