About the Role
The role involves creating and managing BIM models for electrical systems and dry utilities, ensuring designs meet project requirements and standards while collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed BIM models for electrical and dry utility systems
- Coordinate design elements across disciplines using modeling software
- Support the integration of electrical components within infrastructure projects
- Produce construction documentation from BIM models
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and design standards
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve design conflicts
- Maintain model accuracy throughout project phases
- Assist in design reviews and coordination meetings
- Update drawings and models based on feedback and changes
- Work with engineers to implement design specifications
- Organize and manage project data within BIM environments
- Support field verification and as-built documentation
- Participate in quality control checks for design deliverables
- Apply company design guidelines and templates
- Help streamline modeling workflows and processes
- Use software tools to extract quantities and data
- Ensure consistency between plans, schedules, and models
- Support project scheduling with timely model updates
- Communicate design details with team members
- Maintain version control for design files
