Arista Networks is hiring an Advisory Systems Engineer (ASE) to serve as a strategic technical advisor and customer success catalyst within our Sales Engineering team. In this role, you will drive the adoption of Arista’s Day 2 lifecycle by guiding established large accounts in operational optimization, automation maturity, and business value realization.
What You'll Do
- Proactively reach out to customers to position Arista products across DC, Campus, Routing, AI, and CV to expand account footprint.
- Provide technical assistance on new opportunities, including Proof of Concept testing at Arista and in customer labs.
- Ensure the customer performs operational health checks, compliance reviews, and automation maturity assessments.
- Assist in deploying and integrating CloudVision, APIs, and automation toolsets.
- Support customers in implementing workflows for monitoring, telemetry, and provisioning.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in customer environments using Arista’s open, programmable platforms.
- Ensure customers deploy a Modern Operating model and reduce their TCO for running infrastructure.
- Deliver strategic and advanced technical workshops on automation, CI/CD, CloudVision, and AVD.
- Identify training needs and provide guidance on training, certification, and skill uplift for customer teams.
- Produce business-oriented documentation such as success runbooks, solution blueprints, adoption roadmaps, and optimization reports.
- Act as the primary account team contact for the customer's Operations team, supporting QBRs, QoRs, and feedback loops.
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers, Arista TAC, and engineering, focusing on proactive solutions.
- Coordinate with SE (strategy/pre-sales) and PS (execution) teams to ensure end-to-end customer lifecycle coverage.
- Evangelize Arista Professional Services and match customer requirements to PS deliverables.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as network consulting, customer success, or solution architecture.
- Expertise in L2/L3 networking, routing (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN), and automation ecosystems (EOS, CloudVision, Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Strong consultative and business acumen with experience linking technical outcomes to revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and advisory skills.
- Arista ACE certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days).
- Knowledge and understanding of data center, cloud, campus, or routing environments.

- Background in customer-facing consultative roles, including professional services or customer success engineering.
