Miaplaza is hiring an Administrative Support Associate for MiaPrep Online High School

About the Role

Miaplaza is seeking an Administrative Support Associate to provide critical frontline support for MiaPrep Online High School (MOHS). This role is central to ensuring smooth administrative operations and a positive experience for students and parents through professional communication and effective problem-solving.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day student and parent inquiries via email and phone with professionalism, empathy, and efficacy.
  • Resolve concerns promptly or triage and escalate issues to appropriate departments or staff as needed.
  • Maintain a strong tone of support, care, and clarity in all communications.
  • Maintain excellent record-keeping in all systems.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to enrollment, tuition, and academic status.
  • Monitor shared communication channels and support safe and respectful student interactions.
  • Maintain and update the academic and club calendar.
  • Support and occasionally lead special projects aligned with the administrative needs of the school.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and support services.
  • Provide additional support to MOHS staff and students as needed.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that values communication, flexibility, and support for student success.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or customer service settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Empathy, patience, and a student-centered mindset
  • Comfort with cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Workspace, ticketing systems)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in an educational or school environment
  • Familiarity with Freshdesk or other ticketing/CRM platforms
  • Experience with calendar and scheduling management
  • Experience with state funding processes for homeschooling or private schooling
  • Background in student advising or teen-facing roles (formal or informal)
  • Experience in a live chat or customer support environment

Team & Environment

This role reports to the Director of Student Success and works in close collaboration with the Administrative Support Coordinator.

  • Compensation: $19.42 - $30.81 per hour
