Adjunct Faculty members at Covista play a vital role in educating Walden University students in the PhD Clinical Psychology program. Faculty deliver instruction through online, blended, and in-person formats, using asynchronous and synchronous methods to engage students and maintain academic excellence within Walden's educational framework.
What You'll Do
- Interact with students in asynchronous Discussion Boards
- Grade assignments
- Answer student questions
- Deliver 2 synchronous sessions during the quarter
- Provide in-person instruction for approximately 4-5 hours per day during the 7-day in-person component
- Participate in doctoral dissertation committees
- Engage in professional development and advising of students during the BAYR course sequence
- Teach at university doctoral residencies (optional for additional stipend)
- Facilitate school and university-wide discussions during residencies
- Provide thoughtful, well-written, and timely communications to students
- Adhere to all Walden University Faculty expectations
What We're Looking For
- Must be able to teach Blended Academic Year in Residence (BAYR) courses
- Must use Blackboard platform for course instruction
- Must deliver 2 synchronous sessions per quarter
- Must respond to student questions within 48 hours
- Must be available to travel to Minneapolis, MN for 7 days during the 12-week quarter
- Must participate in training provided by Walden University
- Must engage in doctoral dissertation committee participation
