At-Bay is hiring an Actuary / Senior Actuary to directly shape our risk assessment framework and drive data-driven decisions involving millions in exposure. You'll join a multidisciplinary, hands-on operational role where you'll develop deep professional lines knowledge, business acumen, and analytical skills, seeing submissions, quotes, and binds to understand how each risk decision impacts the business.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of pricing models for new professional & general liability products and work cross-functionally with Insurance & Tech Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Decision Engine teams on implementation.
- Drive At-Bay's professional lines product initiatives and lead a wide variety of pricing projects from inception to implementation to understand the impacts of pricing and underwriting actions.
- Manage up and cross-functionally across various teams as a Senior Actuary.
- Within 3 months, understand At-Bay's internal data structure, develop key relationships, utilize existing Cyber and Tech E&O rate plans and tools to analyze product performance, develop benchmarks, review pricing segmentation and rate adequacy, and identify areas for improvement.
- Within 6 months, propose and implement changes to the Cyber and Tech E&O rate plan and rating rules, achieve stakeholder alignment, work with the Insurance Product head and other teams to develop new products and tools, collaborate with Cyber Research to identify new features and implement them into our production risk model, and help coach others on actuarial analytics and Cyber pricing.
What We're Looking For
- Experience analyzing profitability of developing personal and/or commercial lines products.
- Experience evaluating portfolio profitability using actuarial techniques and presenting results to senior leaders from multiple disciplines.
- Experience leading pricing projects from end to end, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally.
- You have achieved your ACAS or FCAS.
- Proficiency with Excel and SQL, and experience with Python and/or R.
- Experience creating and presenting actuarial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex insurance analysis into clear, actionable strategies.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $150,000-$185,000 per year
