Prudential is looking for an Actuarial Specialist to join our International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 17 reporting team in Singapore. You will be a key contributor to the implementation and ongoing reporting of this critical accounting standard, providing essential actuarial support for financial analysis and process improvement.

What You'll Do

Provide feedback on the regional and local technical interpretation of IFRS 17 standards.
Review business requirements based on technical decisions for the standards.
Offer actuarial support and feedback to solution design and IT teams to enhance end-to-end ETL tools for improved efficiency and analysis.
Support the implementation of changes to ETL tools, including the development of data, models, and IFRS 17 reports.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ETL tools, source system changes, and the sub-ledger system, including business validation of reports.
Ensure a controlled, auditable end-to-end reporting process for Actuarial, including data preparation for Prophet models.
Participate in the Business Planning process for IFRS 17 financials.
Collaborate with local and regional teams on IFRS 17 reporting.
Analyze and explain IFRS 17 results and support business initiatives to improve outcomes.
Perform reconciliation between IFRS 17 basis and other reporting bases.
Support the audit process for IFRS 17 reporting.
Provide actuarial support for Finance division initiatives on reporting process re-engineering.

What We're Looking For

Strong technical and analytical skills with a commitment to excellence.
A good understanding of insurance products.
Qualified actuary from a recognized professional actuarial body.
A degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.

Nice to Have

2-5 years of actuarial experience or experience in an analytical role.
IFRS 17 working experience.
Good working knowledge of Prophet systems and valuation data management programs like SQL.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
