About the Role
This role is responsible for managing accounting operations, leading month-end close processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting financial planning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
- Manage tax preparation and filing processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Supervise internal controls and audit readiness
- Collaborate with external auditors during reviews and audits
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts regularly
- Assist in the development and enforcement of accounting policies
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Coordinate interdepartmental financial data exchanges
- Monitor financial transactions for discrepancies or irregularities
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management
- Manage payroll-related accounting entries and compliance
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Support special projects related to financial systems or integrations
