Small Batch Standard is hiring a full-time Accounting Associate to support the day-to-day bookkeeping needs of our craft brewery clients. This role is structured for growth, progressing from AP processing to full monthly close responsibilities, with a clear promotion track to Accountant within 6-12 months.
What You'll Do
- Process inbound invoices, receipts, credit memos, and other documents in Bill.com and QuickBooks Online.
- Maintain the QBO Banking Screen by matching transactions, entering payroll, and keeping bank and POS syncs clean and current.
- Take on monthly close tasks for select clients under your manager’s guidance.
- Communicate directly with brewery clients to gather information and resolve issues.
- Own the full monthly close for most clients, including reconciliations, accruals, inventory, sales and excise tax prep, journal entries, and final review.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of experience as an Accounting Associate, Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, or similar.
- Comfort working with multiple clients or entities at once.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet, a quiet setup for video calls, and availability during normal business hours (9–5, Monday–Friday).
Nice to Have
- Experience with brewery or inventory-heavy, accrual-based clients.
- Prior experience with tools like Square, Toast, Gusto, Podio, or Asana.
- Experience with Bill.com.

- Salary range: $51,000-$60,000
