Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting for the Mexican entity in accordance with Mexican GAAP and corporate guidelines.
- Create and record journal entries accurately and on time.
- Lead the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparing required schedules by set deadlines.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in compiling financial statements and serve as the main point of contact during audits, working with tax consultants.
- Work closely with finance teams in the U.S. and Europe to support international accounting and reporting coordination.
- Ensure adherence to statutory tax filing obligations, reporting regulations, and internal control standards in Mexico.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives to streamline and automate general ledger processes.
- Coordinate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax advisors to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
