Role Overview
A US-based real estate company is seeking a detail-focused Accountant to oversee key financial functions in a fully remote capacity. In this position, you will play a central role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, driving timely reporting, and supporting compliance activities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process, ensuring all entries are accurate and completed on schedule.
- Review financial statements each quarter and annually, identifying discrepancies or trends that require attention.
- Contribute to investor communications by preparing financial summaries and updates.
- Develop and track annual budgets, monitoring actual spending against forecasts.
- Support tax compliance efforts, including the preparation and distribution of 1099 forms and coordination of tax return filings.
- Handle annual insurance renewals and manage claims processing when necessary.

- Background in financial due diligence and underwriting for property acquisitions.
- Support experience during real estate transaction closings.
- Familiarity with Rent Manager or similar property management software.
- History of automating or simplifying financial processes to increase efficiency.
