MavTek is looking for an Accountant to take ownership of core financial processes and ensure smooth operations. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be the principal accountant responsible for critical analysis, reporting, and controls in a dynamic technology environment.
What You'll Do
- Take overall responsibility for working paper files, including bank reconciliations and credit card processing reconciliations.
- Perform financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Prepare and issue payments for all payables in a non-cheque environment.
- Assist with the annual audit process.
- Ensure internal controls comply with established policies and procedures.
- Manage intercompany transactions.
- Oversee sales tax reporting and tax remittances.
What We're Looking For
- A B.Comm with a major in Accountancy.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technology-driven environment.
- Fluent proficiency in Oracle NetSuite.
- Expert-level skills in Excel with a passion for working with data.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Confident communication skills in both English and French.
- Experience working in multi-entity and multi-currency settings.
- Exceptionally organized and able to work independently.
