As an Account Specialist, you'll work closely with sales reps, customers, distribution centers, and internal teams to ensure orders are entered perfectly, priced accurately, processed smoothly, and shipped on time. Think of it as being the behind-the-scenes maestro who keeps everything running like a well-oiled machine. The role offers a dynamic mix of teamwork and independent work in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining laser-focused customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Accountabilities

  • Manage your orderbook like a pro: accurately enter, revise, and release customer orders, and provide backup order entry support for your team.
  • Deliver customer service that'll make people sing your praises by offering stellar product info and helping with order selection.
  • Be the problem-solving ninja who proactively tackles inquiries, requests, and complex issues from customers, sales reps, and management.
  • Investigate product and service hiccups, then communicate resolutions and action plans lightning-fast with business partners.
  • Handle return authorizations and credit requests with precision, ensuring invoicing accuracy for all purchase orders.
  • Manage inbound customer calls like a communication champion and support daily department activities and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a nice-to-have.
  • 3 to 5 years of related professional experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office guru; bonus points for SAP and Cognos reporting knowledge.
  • Customer service superstar with an eye for the tiniest details.
  • Communication skills that could charm the socks off anyone — verbally and in writing.
  • Team collaboration master who builds trust faster than you can say "teamwork".
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and learning agility.
  • Totally comfortable with marathon computer sessions and phone conversations.
  • Ready to put in extra hours when the team needs you.
