HireHawk was looking for an Account Manager (Remote South Africa)

HireHawk, a U.S.-based global staffing company, is hiring a Senior Account Manager to work remotely from South Africa. In this key leadership role, you will help shape the account management department while driving sales and ensuring outstanding satisfaction for our U.S.-based clientele.

What You'll Do

  • Play a key leadership role in shaping the vision, structure, and operational strategy of the Account Management department.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and performance metrics for consistency and scalability.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for innovation, client retention, and service excellence.
  • Mentor junior team members and help build a high-performing account management team.
  • Act as the first point of contact for new business leads, conducting outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
  • Qualify prospects and schedule introductory calls or demos with decision-makers.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of U.S.-based clients across industries.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts, managing contracts, renewals, and performance check-ins.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through timely updates, follow-ups, and service improvements.
  • Address and resolve any service issues quickly and professionally.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in a sales, client success, or account management role—preferably in recruiting, staffing, or a service-based industry.
  • Proven experience working with U.S.-based clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and lead generation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize workload.
  • Tech-savvy; familiar with CRMs, spreadsheets, and virtual communication tools.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Able to work independently and align with U.S. time zones.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a headhunting, recruiting, or staffing agency.
  • Understanding of hiring workflows, job briefs, and recruitment metrics.
  • Experience using tools like Zoho and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
