Optiv is hiring an Account Executive - Cybersecurity I Remote, Dallas

About the Role

Optiv is hiring an Account Executive (Client Director) to sell our comprehensive security services and technology solutions to a select portfolio of key strategic accounts within the Dallas metro area. You will be responsible for owning the entire sales cycle, leading a cross-functional team, and building multi-year strategic account management plans to establish Optiv as your clients' primary cybersecurity solution partner.

What You'll Do

  • Build trusted, effective, and productive relationships with client executives at multiple levels within your assigned accounts.
  • Lead your team to create a multi-year strategic account management plan based on client business, technology, and security goals.
  • Build a large sales pipeline, ideally 3-4 times your assigned targets, and achieve or exceed gross margin objectives in excess of $3.5M annually.
  • Manage current and multi-quarter forecasts with a high degree of accuracy, currency, and integrity.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute with discipline and in alignment with Force Management principles.
  • Effectively communicate Optiv’s value proposition related to our security services and technology expertise.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with technology partners and their sales personnel to share leads and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Initiate, monitor, and mediate all necessary communications between clients, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Maintain collaborative and effective internal communications with Optiv team members regarding opportunities and client satisfaction.
  • Lead your team with a focus on enhancing client satisfaction, including reviewing goals and progress quarterly.

What We're Looking For

  • 7–10 years of experience in solution and services-based sales within an Information Technology or Security environment.
  • Proven ability to build and execute territory and strategic account management plans with a track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar gross margin quotas.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional dotted-line teams comprised of sales, technical, and support personnel effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to correlate business goals with business and cybersecurity risk to develop complex security solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and productive business relationships with key executives and sponsors within assigned accounts.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation experience.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the IT security market and its competitors.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the Risk & Compliance market and its competitors.
  • A history of demonstrated achievement exceeding plan and expectations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in building and selling complex, multi-year hardware, software, services, and financing solutions to Fortune 1000 clients.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the IT Infrastructure market and its competitors.
  • Experience selling management consulting services.

Team & Environment

You will lead a cross-functional team including a Client Solution Architect, Executive Advisory Director, Client Operations Specialist, and one or more Client Associates.

This is a local-city position based in the Dallas Metro area.
