The Engineer Cloud Security protects multi-cloud infrastructure by implementing and maintaining safeguards against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. This role includes monitoring cloud systems, supporting incident response, and embedding security into development and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitors cloud platforms and supports incident response and alert management.
- Works with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into development and deployment workflows.
- Supports regular security evaluations, control validations, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Helps develop and enforce cloud security policies aligned with best practices and compliance standards.
- Supports the delivery of security training and awareness programs for IT and business personnel.
Requirements
- Available for periodic on-call or after-hours support.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capable of collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid grasp of fundamental cloud computing principles.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, cloud consoles and command-line interfaces, virtualization, networking, operating systems, databases, and general IT needs across business units.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, STEM, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two years of IT experience with working knowledge of security concepts and frameworks.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider is advantageous.
- Experience in scripting or application development is preferred.
