The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hiring an Access Coordinator III to act as a vital patient resource for scheduling and billing questions. This role facilitates comprehensive patient data collections, ensures timely and accurate billing, and coordinates scheduling. You will be located at either TOSH (The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital) or Neurosciences (Jackson T Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute).
What You'll Do
- Act as a patient resource for all scheduling and billing questions.
- Facilitate comprehensive patient data collections.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Prompt collections of payment for services rendered.
- Facilitate scheduling coordination and resolve conflicts.
- Perform other duties to support patient care activities as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform all duties of the Access Coordinator I and II levels.
- Basic proficiency with computers and data entry (MS Office preferred).
- Three (3) years of experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment.
Nice to Have
- Certified Health-care Access Associate (CHAA) Certification.
- Experience with external radiology testing.
- Knowledge of CPT codes and/or medical terminology.
