Amentum is hiring an Access Control Officer to manage visitor access and enforce security procedures at a restricted facility. You will be responsible for verifying clearances, issuing badges, and providing exceptional customer service while ensuring strict compliance with security protocols.
What You'll Do
- Issue and track visitor badges using computer systems to verify identification, clearances, and authorization.
- Greet visitors with expert customer service and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist interagency visitors with badge readers and direct them to proper destinations.
- Direct a high volume of visitors and employees, including foreign nationals and officials, to their destinations daily.
- Provide escort duties as needed for immediate client requirements.
- Maintain access control procedures for restricted facilities by ensuring positive personnel identification.
- Support the submission of required reports and deliverables per client requirements weekly and monthly.
- Provide support to after-hour functions as directed.
- Respond professionally and courteously to all personnel calls, emails, and messages promptly.
- Provide proactive thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve and prevent issues.
- Perform all other security-related duties as assigned or requested.
- Work overtime and varying hours on a rotating 8-hour shift schedule to provide 24/7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What We're Looking For
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Possess and maintain a fully adjudicated Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Minimum of a HS diploma or GED.
- Wear appropriate work attire, which may include a company-provided dress uniform.
- Must be customer service-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented, dedicated, and well-organized.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to provide instruction to onsite visitors.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with SCI and security processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of DISS (formerly JPAS) and Scattered Castles is helpful.

This is an onsite position located in Springfield, VA.
