Responsibilities
- Establish and uphold a clear vision for school culture through effective, schoolwide systems that promote consistency and high expectations.
- Ensure all teaching staff can build positive relationships with students, manage classrooms effectively, reinforce desired behaviors, and respond appropriately to misconduct.
- Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to teachers and leadership staff in classroom management and student engagement strategies.
- Develop and maintain robust instructional systems that support deep content mastery, high-quality teaching, and data-informed adjustments to improve student outcomes.
- Train and guide instructional leaders to sustain and scale effective teaching practices across all classrooms.
- Design and oversee efficient operational systems that ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-managed campus environment.
- Supervise and guide the operations assistant principal to achieve targets in student enrollment and daily attendance.
- Develop the operations assistant principal’s leadership and management capabilities to effectively lead their team and deliver results.
- Create and maintain comprehensive systems for family engagement, including onboarding and continuous communication.
- Ensure families receive regular updates on student progress and school activities, and are treated as essential partners in education.
- Coach leadership staff to effectively implement and sustain family engagement strategies across the campus.
- Make informed decisions about hiring, retention, and advancement of staff, and develop others to do the same.
- Foster a positive and mission-aligned staff culture through intentional systems and leadership practices.
- Implement consistent coaching and performance management systems to support staff growth and accountability.
- Strategically allocate campus discretionary funds to align with academic and operational priorities.
- Collaborate with operations leadership and administrative staff to monitor and manage the campus budget throughout the year.
- Oversee the operations assistant principal in meeting financial targets for their department.
- Complete all required compliance training and ensure all staff fulfill annual requirements.
- Establish systems to maintain compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies and regulations.
- Develop leadership capacity in others to sustain compliance efforts across all functions.
- Ensure students with IEPs, 504 plans, and other eligibility designations receive appropriate services and instruction.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal mandates for special education and related programs.
- Design and manage data systems that enable collection, analysis, and action at the school level to inform decision-making.
- Perform any additional duties assigned as needed to support school success.
