Currently serving tens of thousands of clients, we're expanding into New Jersey and seeking a seasoned Property Tax Consultant to guide our team through regulatory and operational complexities. This contract-based, hourly consulting opportunity is perfect for a professional deeply familiar with New Jersey's property tax protest mechanisms who can provide strategic market entry guidance. Potential exists for developing a strategic partnership with Abode to enhance our property tax offerings. We currently collaborate with premier home financial services providers including USAA, Lemonade, Compass, Nerdwallet, CreditKarma, Monarch Money, Consumer Reports, Thumbtack, and numerous others. 🔍 What You'll Help With As an advisor, you will support our internal team with: • Regulatory insight: Deciphering state statutes, administrative protocols, and compliance requirements for property tax challenges. • County-specific knowledge: Providing guidance on local intricacies for major jurisdictions. • Filing processes: Directing strategies for petition submissions (TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence) — including digital and physical submission protocols. • Hearing procedures: Offering strategic insights on hearing preparation and best engagement practices. ✅ Who We're Looking For You're an ideal candidate if you: • Possess direct professional experience within the property tax ecosystem — through personal practice, established firm involvement, or governmental work. • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of county-specific procedures, timelines, and regulations, especially in the 5 largest counties. • Embody innovative thinking while respecting established regulatory frameworks. • Can provide consultation on a flexible, hourly basis via remote communication platforms. 🚀 Why This Role Matters Our mission centers on making homeownership more accessible and affordable.
