Spreedly is hiring Ab Initio Data Engineers to design and develop large-scale data engineering solutions. You will work across the full data landscape—including ETL pipelines, governance, and metadata management—using Ab Initio, Databricks, and Azure technologies to solve complex data challenges and support critical analytics and reporting initiatives.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and optimize large-scale data processing and governance solutions using Ab Initio, Databricks, and related technologies.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions on time.
Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and design to implementation, testing, and delivery.
Create source-to-target mappings, data models, and technical documentation for analytics and reporting.
Support data governance efforts including metadata management, lineage, and data quality initiatives.
Collaborate with business, technical, and cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Apply agile methodologies to manage changing priorities and deliver projects effectively.
Mentor peers, share best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.

What We're Looking For

A Master’s or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, management, and governance.
Strong expertise in Ab Initio (GDE, Express>IT, Conduct>IT, MetadataHub).
Proficiency in Databricks with solid skills in PySpark and Spark SQL.
Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Netezza, as well as cloud platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery.
Knowledge of Azure data services including ADF, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
Proven background in data modeling for warehouses, marts, or lakehouses.
Solid understanding of data architecture, warehousing principles, and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with agile delivery models and the full SDLC.
Strong communication skills to document requirements, manage stakeholders, and present solutions clearly.

Nice to Have

Azure Data Engineering/Analytics certification.
Industry experience in banking or financial services.
Exposure to Talend, Informatica, or SAS.
Experience migrating pipelines into Ab Initio.
PowerBI knowledge.
Prior involvement in data governance projects.
