V.Group is looking for a 3rd Engineer (O Oficial de Máquinas) to maintain machinery spaces and equipment, perform safe work practices, and act as a watchkeeping officer. You will be a key member of our maritime engineering team, ensuring the operational integrity of our vessels.
What You'll Do
- Maintain the engine room and act as a watchkeeping officer in Unattended Machinery Space (UMS) mode.
- Maintain all machinery space equipment, with special attention to main propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, and boilers.
- Adopt and implement safe working practices on board.
- Perform electrical maintenance, including completing all PMS items in ShipSure, in the absence of an Electrical Officer.
- Act as a substitute and train under the supervision of the Subchefe de Máquinas when opportunities arise.
- Carry out any other tasks and duties as instructed by the Chief Engineer and/or Subchefe de Máquinas.
Team & Environment
This role reports directly to the Subchefe de Máquinas and receives instructions from the Chief Engineer.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position operating under the BRA flag.
