What You'll Do
Lead online, synchronous instruction for driven high school students from July 1 to July 30, using Zoom as the primary platform. Deliver a challenging, college-level curriculum designed to strengthen analytical and academic skills in English and Humanities. Foster deep learning by acting as both instructor and academic coach, encouraging students to explore complex ideas and build intellectual confidence.
Prepare for the role by completing 10 hours of self-paced, asynchronous training before the program begins. Attend a required virtual orientation on June 16 to align with instructional goals and methods. All teaching takes place remotely, with an emphasis on interactive, student-focused learning that supports long-term success in competitive academic environments.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic field
- Possess teaching certification or have experience teaching at the K–12 or postsecondary level
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of advanced high school English and Humanities content
- Have prior experience working with high school students
- Be comfortable using digital learning platforms and managing online instruction
- Use a reliable personal laptop and meet basic technical requirements for remote teaching
- Show genuine interest in discussing systemic societal challenges and their historical roots
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying student-centered teaching methods
- Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles
- Professional development or training in educational technology
Work Mode
This is a fully remote role conducted via Zoom. The program runs synchronously from July 1 to July 30, with mandatory orientation on June 16. Ten hours of asynchronous training must be completed independently prior to the start date, offering flexibility in scheduling.
