Voxidea is hiring a VoIP Resident Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our secure, high-performing network and VoIP infrastructure, ensuring systems stay optimized, accessible, and protected.

What You'll Do

Maintain and monitor computer networks, hardware, and system configurations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with routers, firewalls, switches, and VoIP infrastructure.
Implement disaster recovery plans and secure data backups.
Design and document network diagrams and system flows.
Improve security by configuring and monitoring antivirus and firewall systems.
Support network users and identify pain points across the system.
Test, configure, and maintain WAPs, controllers, and other key devices.

What We're Looking For

Experience with VoIP platforms and network infrastructure.
Confidence in managing UNIX/Linux environments and cloud services.
Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and network security best practices.
Comfort working with wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and other key devices.
Skill in creating clear documentation and network diagrams.
Fluency in both English and Spanish.
Formal education in IT or network engineering—though hands-on experience is just as valuable.
A proactive problem-solver who thrives independently and collaborates well in a remote team.

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS is a big plus.
