DomainTools is hiring a Technical Writer to join our Engineering Organization. In this remote role, you will be responsible for developing and refining product and internal documentation. Your work will involve diving deep into the technology, collaborating with subject matter experts, and testing functionality firsthand to create intuitive content structured for AI comprehension.
What You'll Do
- Create and refine technical content: Write, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation, including user guides, API references, and internal knowledge-base articles.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner directly with engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to gather information, understand user needs, and ensure technical accuracy.
- Engage in hands-on product testing: Actively use and test the product as part of the documentation process to ensure guides are practical and user-centric.
- Support internal documentation: Contribute to team-specific documentation and process improvements that enhance team efficiency and impact.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience writing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for software products.
- Ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly and translate them into clear, user-focused content.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working directly with engineers, product managers, and other SMEs.
- Proactive approach to hands-on product testing to validate functionality and documentation accuracy.
- Experience structuring content for discoverability, including considerations for AI comprehension.
