Total Life is hiring a Remote Therapist licensed in California to provide virtual individual therapy to seniors aged 65+. You’ll use a wellness-based, goal-oriented model to empower clients, focusing on treating late-life depression and anxiety, navigating retirement transitions, and managing the psychological aspects of health changes.
What You'll Do
- Provide virtual individual therapy utilizing a wellness-based model that empowers clients to maintain autonomy.
- Utilize CBT and other solution-focused approaches to treat late-life depression and anxiety.
- Help seniors redefine their sense of purpose and navigate the transition from a professional career to retirement.
- Assist clients in managing the psychological aspects of medication adherence and chronic pain.
What We're Looking For
- Must hold a valid, unrestricted California state license as a Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LMHC.
- Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in clinical mental health counseling.
- Demonstrated experience in medication management support and pain management counseling specifically for the geriatric population.
- Experience working with clients aged 65+ and an understanding of the psychological impact of aging and retirement.
- Must provide proof of professional liability/malpractice insurance (minimum $1M claim limit/$3M aggregate) or be willing to purchase a policy prior to start.
- Must have an active NPI.
- Must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Comfortable utilizing technology and providing care through a secure teletherapy interface.
Nice to Have
- Existing Medicare credentialing or an active CAQH profile is a significant plus.
