About the Role
A skilled WordPress developer is needed to manage and maintain a portfolio of client websites, handling ticketed requests, implementing theme and code changes, and ensuring high-quality, secure site performance.
Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of client website requests through a ticket-based system, including content updates, layout modifications, landing page creation, and minor feature integrations
- Make precise changes to WordPress themes and templates, including custom CSS, HTML, PHP, and JavaScript adjustments ranging from basic to intermediate complexity
- Conduct comprehensive quality checks for every update, ensuring functionality across devices, browsers, links, forms, menus, and interactive components
- Write clear and professional summaries of completed work for internal review before client delivery
- Work closely with internal developers and account managers to clarify project requirements and resolve complex or edge-case issues
- Identify and report potential technical risks, recurring problems, and opportunities to improve or standardize site templates and workflows
- Maintain organized, secure, and well-structured code and site architectures across all managed websites
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with WordPress development beyond page builders
- Strong proficiency in customizing WordPress themes and templates
- Experience writing and modifying custom CSS, HTML, PHP, and JavaScript
- Demonstrated ability to implement and test cross-browser and responsive design solutions
- Experience working in a ticket-driven workflow environment
- Prior experience working remotely
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and workflows
- Ability to maintain clear, client-facing documentation of work performed
- Capacity to identify and communicate technical risks and improvement opportunities
- Commitment to code quality, security, and organizational standards

- Experience working with US or UK-based companies
- Availability during US time zone hours, particularly EST to CST
