Evolving Web is looking for a WordPress Architect to serve as our in-house technical expert. You will work closely with developers, designers, project managers, and clients to architect and deliver high-quality, accessible websites and applications.

What You'll Do

Work with a team of developers, designers, and project managers.
Scope and architect technical solutions with internal and client teams.
Create documentation such as technical specifications and scope documents.
Advise and manage teams to produce measurable results.
Take ownership of project success, including meeting requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Prepare and conduct technical workshops to refine project scope.
Train technical and non-technical teams on solutions.
Create and present reports that communicate solution details.
Prioritize, multi-task, and work on different projects concurrently.

What We're Looking For

More than 5 years of WordPress development experience.
Technical leadership experience.
Modern WordPress expertise with the block editor and block themes.
Experience with enterprise-level projects.
Experience architecting large-scale solutions according to technical requirements.
Ability to maintain a high-level view of projects and successfully deliver solutions.
Actively involved in the WordPress community (core contributions, plugin development, documentation, WordCamps/Meetups).
Curious and keeps up-to-date with the latest changes in the ecosystem, especially Gutenberg.
Expertise in performance optimization techniques and architecting scalable WordPress solutions for enterprise traffic.
Knowledge of security best practices in web application development, particularly within WordPress.
Proven experience working with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams on pre-sales scoping and project estimation.
Ability to do PHP development when necessary.
Experience advising and managing teams of developers and designers.
Experience using project management tools like Redmine or JIRA.
Strong communication skills in both French and English.

Nice to Have

Experience in Drupal development.
Experience in defining and leading quality assurance processes, including automated testing strategies and test-driven development (TDD).
