What You'll Do
- Refactor and enhance existing scrapers to improve stability, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Apply clean coding standards and modular design principles to ensure code quality and team collaboration
- Implement advanced evasion techniques, including browser fingerprint manipulation, header randomization, and proxy rotation
- Extract data from dynamic websites using tools that render JavaScript and manage complex user interactions
- Collaborate with analysts to define data needs, validate outputs, and refine collection strategies
- Monitor scraper health with alerting systems and respond quickly to outages or performance drops
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to session management, cookies, and request patterns
- Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methods to improve data collection efficiency
- Stay ahead of evolving anti-bot technologies by tracking changes in website defenses
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Puppeteer for automated browser interaction
- Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, HTML parsing, and secure communication (TLS/SSL)
- Hands-on expertise managing proxy networks, including residential and data center providers
- Experience configuring cookies, headers, and session lifecycles to mimic real user behavior
- Strong debugging skills to identify and fix performance bottlenecks in large-scale scraping environments
- Ability to document systems clearly and communicate technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to maintain system reliability
