About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Web Gateway infrastructure supporting HealthShare platforms. This includes configuration, monitoring, and resolving issues related to secure web access and data exchange. The candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure high availability and performance of integrated health information systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Web Gateway instances for HealthShare environments
- Ensure secure and reliable access to health data applications
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations
- Troubleshoot connectivity and authentication issues
- Support integration workflows between clinical systems
- Collaborate with development teams on solution design
- Maintain documentation for system configurations
- Respond to incidents and service requests promptly
- Implement security best practices for web-facing components
- Assist in deploying updates and patches
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems
- Work with operations staff to ensure system uptime
- Diagnose and resolve load balancing challenges
- Support single sign-on and identity management setups
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data exchange standards
- Conduct regular system health checks
- Assist in disaster recovery planning
- Validate system changes in test environments
- Coordinate with vendors for technical support
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Optimize SSL/TLS configurations
- Maintain firewall and reverse proxy settings
- Support FHIR and HL7 interface operations
- Ensure audit logs are properly maintained
- Participate in system architecture reviews
