Responsibilities
- Planning and executing delivery of website improvements and updates
- Executing speed optimization, user experience improvements, custom tracking scripts, and landing page builds
- Integrating closely with SEO and paid search teams by implementing performance recommendations on client’s websites
- Deploying technical improvements and customizations on various content management systems including WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and custom builds
- Keeping close tabs on clients’ website health by tracking and fixing issues as they arise
- Maintaining optimum site health while delivering superior functionality, UX, and performance
- Helping drive more organic traffic and revenue growth
- Being accountable to a portfolio of websites with regular monitoring and maintenance to ensure superior performance and minimize errors and downtime
Requirements
- Verifiable, proven track record of customizing, updating, and maintaining web-standard CMSs like WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and others
- Serious developer chops with experience in both backend and frontend technologies
- Experienced working with Javascript frontend frameworks/SPAs and other emerging technologies
- Ability to create well-documented, reusable code for website improvements, custom theme development, plugin creation, and automation
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and trends
- Proven track record of working on improving and maintaining sites ranging from a few hundred pages to hundreds of thousands of URLs
- Superior problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex problems into actionable solutions
- Ability to approach work with urgency, organize and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without micromanagement
- Proactive mindset: anticipate hiccups and provide solutions
- Ability to move quickly and adapt in a rapid-paced environment where change is constant
