O’Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Web Content Writer to create compelling content that drives organic traffic and deepens customer engagement. You will write, proofread, and optimize content for our retail website, printed and online publications, professional websites, and internal point-of-sale systems.

What You'll Do

Create and optimize engaging content per approved strategy and SEO (including AEO and GEO) best practices for multiple platforms.
Edit and enhance content based on internal feedback, evolving SEO standards, and brand guidelines.
Research industry topics to write authoritatively on part types, product descriptions, How-To guides, and brand content.
Proofread and submit content that complies with brand consistency, SEO, O’Reilly voice, and copyright law.
Assist with SEO, digital marketing, and local search projects by contributing written content.
Collaborate with video, design, and Marketing teams to ensure copy and visuals align with campaign initiatives.
Stay current with digital content trends, SEO best practices, and competitor research tools.
Monitor content performance using SEO metrics to identify improvement areas and new opportunities.
Assist with special department projects as directed by leadership.

What We're Looking For

Experience with keyword-based content research and prioritizing SEO in content production.
Excellent writing, proofreading, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Word and Excel.
Ability to present a professional company image and a positive attitude.
Comfortable in a TEAM-oriented work environment.
Ability to work productively and creatively with limited supervision.
Superb attention to detail.

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a relevant field.
Experience and knowledge of product merchandising.
Automotive knowledge.
Experience with AI content production tools and optimizing for AI-driven search results.
