About the Role

Black & Veatch is looking for a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship is designed to provide you with a valuable, real-world experience through meaningful work assignments within a professional environment. You’ll gain exposure to our corporate culture and have significant networking opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
  • Perform a variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
  • Prepare basic calculations and assist in basic equipment selection.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Schedule project deliverables.
  • Collect, organize, and evaluate project data.
  • Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling.
  • Organize and file project materials and references.

What We're Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited university Civil Engineering program with emphasis in Structural, Environmental, Transportation, or Geotechnical.
  • No prior professional experience required.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected), which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

  • Initiative and a self-starting, highly motivated attitude.
  • Attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Work Mode

This is an onsite internship.
