Blockworks is hiring a VP of Content to lead content strategy and direction across our network of media and events brands. You will oversee newsletter, events, and podcast teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with brand strategies, driving growth and mentoring content creators.
What You'll Do
- Lead media and events programming and delivery, overseeing newsletters, events, and podcast platforms.
- Define, evolve, educate, and communicate distinct brand identities and positioning for each brand and the network.
- Shape content direction and craft brand narratives, offering top-down direction on stories that resonate with audiences.
- Lead content feedback and coaching, mentoring creators, editors, and content teams to refine content voice and impact.
- Aggressively drive growth by identifying and implementing organic growth strategies to increase subscribers across all channels.
- Drive cross-platform alignment to ensure seamless messaging and objectives across all content channels.
- Optimize content delivery across all channels to enhance reach and engagement.
What We're Looking For
- Crypto-native with a deep understanding of the crypto industry and cultural zeitgeist.
- Proven ability to craft compelling narratives that inform and captivate audiences.
- History of vocal, opinionated content showcasing narrative skills.
- Hands-on examples of content creation and distribution across various channels and platforms.
- Growth metrics demonstrating a focus on driving engagement.
- Exceptional people and collaboration skills for aligning diverse perspectives into a unified strategy.
- Comfort with frequent experimentation and being uncomfortable.
Nice to Have
- Background in brand strategy and positioning, especially in a media setting.
- Experience holding senior content roles in other media companies.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills working across remote and diverse teams.
