Responsibilities
- Work with application development team members to review/roll out new code changes to production environments that have an impact on both staff and members.
- Oversee coding changes for the frontend and backend development teams, including changes to the Power On language for Symitar, the credit union’s website, custom digital banking pages, and company intranet.
- Knowledge of web security and the ability to implement necessary changes within member facing web content.
- Knowledge and ability to perform the necessary Admin Role within the GitLab platform, to configure group projects, and push out code to different environments for each as needed.
- Ability to utilize work management software, such as Monday.dev, to document epics, issues, and bugs for the development teams. Utilizes the tool to manage staffing resources and timelines for projects, and communicate problems with the SVP Digital Banking and Development, to ensure deadlines are met. Assists in settings priorities for the Department at the direction of the SVP Digital Banking and Development.
- Knowledge and familiarity of the following technologies to understand how they work and should be implemented: PHP, MYSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Web Services (SOAP, REST), and Source Control.
- Maintains the Software Development Lifecycle Policy and ensures department procedure are kept up to date and followed by the Application Development team. May assist with collecting documents for Information Technology Audits.
- Maintains database of development projects, including a description of the functionality of the development, interactions with third parties, servers and databases where code is stored and security protocols used.
- Advanced ability to diagnose programming problems and determine, recommend, and implement solutions. Apply technical, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve employee issues by developing effective programming code. Ensures team members are actively engaged in problem-solving.
- Engage in career coaching and the professional development of Application Development employees to meet and exceed performance expectations.
- Coordinate the hiring, training, coaching, supervision and performance evaluations of all Application Development employees in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
- Communicate collaboratively with Human Resources regarding human resource issues including disciplinary processes, up to and including terminations.
- Lead staff meetings and conduct group and individual training sessions for Application Development employees as needed.
- Maintain a deep knowledge and current understanding of laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance related to compliance and the operations of the credit union.
- Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
- Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance.
- Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position.
- Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of work experience, or seven years of commensurate work experience
