LifeWise Academy is hiring a Volunteer CDL Bus Driver

LifeWise Academy is looking for a Volunteer CDL Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students traveling to and from our program site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and committed to creating a secure and positive environment for children.

What You'll Do

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment, enforcing safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle when necessary.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor throughout your duties.
• Remain aware of which students need help or may be misbehaving.
• Complete all required training provided by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the director.

What We're Looking For

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with our Statement of Faith.
• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Continuous licensing for the past three years.
• Must be 21-80 years of age.
• Any driver above the age of 75 must submit a copy of their CDL license and Passenger Endorsement annually.
• A clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.
• Willingness to undergo and pass a background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Completion of required drug and/or alcohol testing (pre-employment, annual random tests, post-accident).
• All drivers with known medical conditions must obtain a yearly underwriter-approved Physician's Statement.

Nice to Have

• School Bus (S) endorsement on your CDL.
