Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent user interface design, branding, visual identity, and creative quality across global marketing initiatives
- Design engaging customer experiences across digital platforms, including fishersci.com
- Develop conceptual designs for digital and traditional media, including landing pages and customer-facing experiences, using CX/UX best practices
- Address design challenges using innovative visual and UI techniques informed by research and precision
- Generate creative concepts for projects involving multiple departments
- Support end-to-end project management from concept to delivery, including ideation, presentation, and execution
- Follow and help uphold design patterns that ensure a uniform visual experience across all products
- Design visual materials for digital marketing, including ads, landing pages, websites, emails, print templates, and brand guidelines
- Assist in producing graphic assets for designated internal clients
- Identify opportunities to advance visual design through human-centered approaches
- Manage the visual design workflow from storyboarding to high-fidelity comps and interactive prototypes
- Uphold high standards in creativity and production while meeting tight deadlines under pressure
- Communicate user interactions effectively through storyboards, mockups, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
- Apply design thinking principles consistently across all tasks and projects
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including Content Strategists, Information Architects, Writers, Developers, Project and Product Managers, User Researchers, Branding Designers, Photographers, and Creative Directors
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a Global Design System for fishersci.com and related web properties
- Learn and apply brand and design pattern guidelines to maintain usability and consistency
- Understand and enforce photography standards across organizational units
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening
- Applications must include a portfolio of work
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience focused on design rather than research or usability analysis
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a creative, user-focused environment within a corporate or agency setting
- An online portfolio demonstrating strong knowledge of human-centered design practices and traditional graphic design fundamentals
- Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, and XD, as well as Microsoft Office applications
- Experience collaborating with UX researchers, marketers, merchandisers, product and project managers, and front-end developers
- Knowledge of print production processes
- Strong understanding of CX design principles, visual design trends, emerging web technologies, mobile UI/UX patterns, and responsive/adaptive design best practices
- Ability to take approved wireframes and develop them into tangible, compelling design solutions
- Solid grasp of digital marketing best practices, creative art direction, web design, and core graphic design theory
- Ability to quickly learn, use, or troubleshoot tools such as InVision, Slack, Litmus, and BrowserStack
- Working knowledge of project management platforms like Workfront, Jira, and Confluence
- Familiarity with front-end web development using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including awareness of technical feasibility online
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Well-developed presentation and client relationship management skills
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and shifting between projects quickly as needed
