The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and optimizing VistA systems. This includes performing system upgrades, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical support to end users within a federal healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain VistA environments across multiple platforms
- Perform system monitoring and resolve technical issues promptly
- Implement and test software patches and system updates
- Ensure system security and compliance with federal regulations
- Configure system parameters to meet operational requirements
- Support integration between VistA and other healthcare applications
- Troubleshoot database and middleware components
- Maintain system documentation and change logs
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy system enhancements
- Respond to service tickets and provide timely resolutions
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution
- Validate system backups and ensure data recoverability
- Work with developers to test new features in staging environments
- Ensure adherence to change management protocols
- Monitor system alerts and proactively address anomalies
- Support user authentication and access control mechanisms
- Participate in system audits and security assessments
- Provide on-call support as part of rotation schedule
- Assist in onboarding and training for technical staff
