About the Role
This position involves delivering one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions online to help students strengthen their understanding of core subjects. The tutor will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and maintain consistent communication with families and coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual tutoring sessions with individual students
- Lead small group instruction online
- Develop customized lesson plans based on student needs
- Assess student academic progress regularly
- Track performance and adjust teaching strategies
- Communicate student progress to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with academic coordinators
- Maintain accurate session records
- Adapt teaching methods for different learning styles
- Use digital tools to enhance instruction
- Provide feedback on assignments and assessments
- Encourage student engagement during sessions
- Support students in developing study skills
- Help learners prepare for upcoming coursework
- Identify knowledge gaps and address them
- Promote confidence in academic abilities
- Follow curriculum guidelines provided
- Meet scheduled session times reliably
- Respond to messages from families promptly
- Participate in training and onboarding
