About the Role
The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished product for digital distribution. This role requires strong technical editing skills, creative storytelling ability, and the capacity to work within brand guidelines while meeting tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging content
- Sync audio and visual elements for seamless playback
- Apply color correction and audio enhancements
- Create motion graphics and visual effects as needed
- Ensure brand consistency across all video outputs
- Collaborate with content creators on story development
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously
- Export files in various formats for different platforms
- Review drafts with stakeholders and implement feedback
- Maintain organized project files and assets
- Optimize videos for social media and web performance
- Adhere to project timelines and delivery schedules
- Troubleshoot technical issues during editing
- Stay current with editing software updates
- Use non-linear editing systems efficiently
- Integrate music and sound effects appropriately
- Ensure compliance with copyright and licensing rules
- Prepare subtitles and captions when required
- Participate in pre- and post-production discussions
- Support archival of final video products
Nice to Have
- Experience with After Effects
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve
- Background in documentary or narrative editing
- Knowledge of SEO for video content
- Experience in live event video production
- Understanding of analytics for viewer engagement
