Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Civitech’s marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, product adoption, and brand leadership in the civic technology ecosystem.
- Translate company objectives into measurable marketing goals across customer acquisition, product adoption, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Lead go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for Civitech’s products, services, and data offerings.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and leadership teams to support product launches, feature releases, and strategic initiatives.
- Refine Civitech’s target audiences, buyer personas, and segmentation to guide messaging, campaigns, and product positioning.
- Build and manage full-funnel marketing programs across channels including content, email, paid media, partnerships, and organic search.
- Oversee the development of high-impact content and thought leadership that positions Civitech as a trusted authority in civic technology and voter engagement.
- Steward Civitech’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across marketing channels, campaigns, and product experiences.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships and co-marketing opportunities that expand Civitech’s reach and adoption.
- Establish and monitor key marketing performance metrics, analyze results, and share insights with executive leadership.
- Lead and mentor Civitech’s marketing team while managing budgets, contractors, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
- Prepare and present leadership and board-level reporting.
Requirements
- 8–15+ years of experience in marketing roles, with experience leading marketing strategy and execution for technology, SaaS, data, or mission-driven organizations.
- Strong product marketing experience, with the ability to translate complex technology or data products into compelling messaging and marketing campaigns.
- Experience building and running demand generation programs across digital channels.
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience working with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred).
- Ability to analyze marketing performance data and use insights to improve campaigns and customer acquisition strategies.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft clear narratives around complex issues such as electorate and election data.
- Experience managing staff and contractors.

- Familiarity with the political, nonprofit, or civic technology ecosystem is strongly preferred.
