What You'll Do
Support artists with real-time technical guidance, troubleshooting issues in Maya, Houdini, and Nuke to keep production moving efficiently. Design and implement Python-driven tools tailored to specific project demands, ensuring they align with long-term technical strategies. Work closely with R&D and production leads to refine and evolve the core pipeline, integrating new workflows that improve artist productivity.
Play an active role in knowledge sharing by creating clear tutorials and documentation. Guide junior pipeline members through hands-on mentorship, fostering skill development and confidence in technical problem-solving. Help shape a collaborative environment where feedback and continuous improvement are central to daily operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in visual effects or a related technical field
- Strong proficiency in Python, Maya, and Linux environments
- Firm grasp of VFX production pipelines and artist workflows
- Experience building tools for DCC applications such as Maya, Houdini, or Nuke
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or equivalent discipline
- Familiarity with source control systems and collaborative software development practices
