NTT DATA Romania is hiring a Validation Test Engineer

NTT DATA Romania is looking for a Validation Test Engineer to ensure the quality of complex embedded automotive systems. You will be responsible for testing systems and validating hardware design and production processes, delivering high-quality results through collaboration with development and system engineering teams.

What You'll Do

• Apply global standards like ISO 16750 and customer-specific norms (LV124, VW8000, GMW3172) for electrical and environmental testing.
• Perform environmental and electrical validation tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality during development and production.
• Be available for sporadic business trips to different locations within Romania.
• Conduct requirement reviews and implement test automation in EXAM / dSPACE AutomationDesk.
• Create test setups using climatic chambers, HIL systems, programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Monitor test execution, perform parametric measurements, analyze results and errors, and create reports.
• Define and apply validation strategies and methods, balancing quality, cost, and time principles.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience as a Validation Test Engineer for automotive embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment: climatic chambers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and HIL systems (EXAM / dSPACE AutomationDesk).
• Experience with ALM tools such as DOORS NextGen or EWM.
• Good hardware (HW) knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for collaboration with Test Managers and lab locations.
• An open-minded approach focused on the continuous improvement of test solutions.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.

Nice to Have

• ISTQB Foundation certification is a plus.
