GitLab is looking for a UX Researcher to join our team and make a direct impact on our product. You will support key product domains including Core DevOps Workflows, Monetization, and Security and Compliance, leading tactical studies and contributing to strategic research in a fast-paced environment where your work directly informs design decisions.
What You'll Do
- Become the expert on users within your area: understand how they use GitLab, their pain points, and their workflows.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers on a wide array of research projects.
- Conduct all stages of UX research: identifying, planning, driving, conducting, analyzing, and reporting insights.
- Apply a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods to answer research questions.
- Communicate project statuses and updates to stakeholders clearly and regularly.
- Advocate for and socialize actionable insights in a clear and compelling way to build user empathy.
- Produce research insights that result in measurable product impact.
- Participate in studies led by Senior and Staff Researchers to gain exposure to more complex projects.
- Actively contribute to the UX Research team culture by iterating on processes, documentation, and participating in peer reviews.
What We're Looking For

- Deep experience running mixed-methods research.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders and guiding them to the most appropriate research approach.
- Proven ability to work in a highly iterative, fast-paced environment and pivot with sudden changes in direction.

- Ability to ramp up to a highly technical domain quickly.

- Proven ability to conduct research effectively in a fully remote setting.

- Experience working on enterprise and/or developer tooling products.
Team & Environment
You'll work alongside Senior and Staff UX Researchers who will support your growth, while building strong collaborative relationships with your Product Design and Product Management counterparts.

Work Mode
This is a global, remote position. Candidates can be based remotely in Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
