Foodstuffs North Island is hiring a UX Designer to join a collaborative, high-energy team partnering with Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering. You’ll play a key role in bringing new products to life, enhancing existing ones, shaping product direction, and ensuring new offerings hit the mark.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate high-level strategic decisions through modern design thinking, data, and user research.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business requirements and develop solutions that impact the bottom line and solve real user problems.
- Design digital products from understanding and brainstorming through iterative development and delivery.
- Advocate a user-centred approach in design perspective and practice across our product ecosystem.
- Set the vision of the product, ensure it is well understood, and execute on that vision.
- Communicate the user experience throughout the design process by crafting compelling designs and prototypes.
- Communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually to team members, stakeholders, and execs.
- Lead workshops and facilitate stakeholders with varying opinions.
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems and work to solve problems with Architects and UI design teams.
- Keep up-to-date with competitor products and industry trends.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent grasp of the design thinking and prototyping process, including product, interaction, and visual design.
- Experience in user testing and design research, including qualitative and quantitative methods, observational research, usability testing, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, and writing and executing research protocols.
- Expert facilitation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to conduct workshops and research, clearly present your work, and advocate design rationale.
- Ability to expertly partner with cross-functional teams in launching new products and improvements to existing features.
- 5+ years designing for multiple platforms experience, with 3+ years as a senior visual and interaction designer or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in user flow creation, information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping around customer needs.
- Ability and experience in conducting User testing (including User testing script writing) and gathering feedback.
