At Optum Tech, part of UnitedHealth Group, we're looking for a UX Designer to design world-class healthcare applications for web and mobile. In this role, you will create persuasive user experience design concepts that delight users and deliver tangible business value.
What You'll Do
- Interact with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into UX design concepts.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to design usable, desirable, and feasible experiences.
- Investigate user needs and requirements to identify areas for maximum impact.
- Perform user interaction design for complex UI-intensive applications, including workflow analysis and creation of Lo/Hi-Fi mockups and prototypes.
- Work closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect design implementation.
- Conduct design workshops and presentations to transfer UX know-how.
- Innovate and prototype new ideas by applying design thinking.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A degree or post-graduation in design OR equivalent education from a reputed institute.
- 7+ years of experience in UX Design with an awesome portfolio.
- Expert with popular design tools like: Sketch, Photoshop, Axure, and InVision.
- Proven ability to demonstrate examples that increased user satisfaction and delivered business value.
- Proven skilled and well-read on design thinking practices like user research, focus group feedback, lightweight usability testing, and rapid prototyping.
- Proven excellent skills with quick design reviews and recommendations, and ability to quickly make concept sketches during stakeholder meetings.
- Proven skills to create information architecture, navigation maps, wireframes, and Lo/Hi-Fi prototypes along with design specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects from start to finish with minimal supervision and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven good sense of composition, typography and visual balance.
- Proven good communicator with excellent negotiating and presentation skills.
Nice to Have
- HTML5 and CSS3 skills, with cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility.
- Familiarity with basic scripting and functional prototyping.
- Ability to translate a visual design from mockups to front end templates.
