We’re building the foundation for modern digital services in the public sector and need a skilled User Researcher to lead the way. In this role, you’ll establish research practices that center real user experiences across high-impact government initiatives. Your work will directly inform how services are designed, tested, and improved to be accessible, intuitive, and effective for all.
What You’ll Do
- Design and carry out research using methods tailored to each project’s goals and constraints
- Integrate findings into the development process so teams make decisions grounded in user evidence
- Partner with designers, engineers, and policy experts to refine concepts through continuous testing
- Create clear, reusable documentation of research strategies, findings, and recommendations
- Present insights to senior leaders, policymakers, and technical teams in a clear and actionable way
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in digital transformation, particularly within government or regulated environments
- Background in social sciences, human-computer interaction, or UX research through formal training or practice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into practical guidance
- Experience working across disciplines to influence product direction with user data
Nice to Have
- Thoughtful perspective on how AI can support research and digital service delivery, including ethical considerations and practical applications
Work Environment
This role supports a hybrid model, combining remote and in-person collaboration. While we value face-to-face engagement, fully remote arrangements may be considered based on experience and location. You’ll be part of a team focused on changing how public sector decisions are made—by centering user insight, sharing knowledge, and building capacity across teams.
