Prime Systems Solutions is hiring a US Corporate Accountant to join our team. This role is accountable for executing month-end activities in partnership with the Corporate Accounting team and for identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency wherever possible.
What You'll Do
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including approving journal entries, maintaining monthly reconciliations, and performing balance sheet analysis.
- Support initiatives related to inventory automation, including collaboration with cross-functional departments.
- Collaborate with the Accounting VP, Director, and Manager in developing and implementing process improvements on monthly schedules to help streamline the closing process.
- Assist with requests from external auditors by providing required documentation and information.
- Prepare ad hoc reports for management as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience, including Big 4 exposure (articleship experience is sufficient).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Prior experience with supervisory responsibilities, review work, or mentoring junior staff.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to proactively propose and effectively communicate process improvement solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or other ERP systems.
Nice to Have
- Public Accounting experience preferred, or a combination of public accounting and industry experience.
