About the Role

Apply is hiring a US Accountant for our KPO team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services to a portfolio of clients. You’ll balance direct client management with leading and developing your own team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll for multiple clients.
  • Organize and manage multiple clients while balancing priorities with excellent time management.
  • Lead and develop a team.
  • Work independently while checking in often and collaborating effectively via email and chats.
  • Troubleshoot independently to find solutions and bring them to the table.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial management principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (completed or currently enrolled).
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets (including creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, nested formulas, etc) and Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently while checking in often and collaborating effectively via email and chats.
  • Experience in organizing and managing multiple clients and balancing priorities with excellent time management skills.
  • Capable of working and troubleshooting independently to find solutions without being asked.
  • Strong attention to detail, including double-checking, and follow-through to ensure accuracy.
  • Exceptional and kind communication skills for client and team interactions.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Must be a Philippine citizen currently living in the Philippines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with streamlining workflows and implementing more efficient processes.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with functions like INDEX/MATCH, array formulas, and complex data analysis.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and tax regulations, including handling complex payroll issues.
