Champions Funding LLC is hiring an Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will analyze Non-QM loan applications, evaluate borrower creditworthiness, and ensure compliance with all guidelines and regulations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and provide clear underwriting decisions.

What You'll Do

Analyze loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Non-QM guidelines.
Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and the viability of loan transactions, assessing factors such as income, assets, and property valuations.
Collaborate with loan officers, account managers, and other internal teams to resolve discrepancies and provide clear underwriting decisions.
Prepare detailed underwriting summaries and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the underwriting process.
Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging Non-QM products.
Assist in developing and refining underwriting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to borrowers, lenders, and other partners.

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience, with a strong focus on Non-QM loans.
Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Proficient in Encompass and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
